Ramesh,
Yes, I updated both of Ad-Aware & Spybot before I ran them for the first
time. Niether of them found "ShopNav" or any of its components (using
manual removal instructions, I never found any of its components either).
But later I noticed Ad-Aware had some Registry entries affecting search
websites in IE. I removed them and that seems to have solved the problem.
Thank you for all of your help. It was very useful.
Conan Kelly

Ramesh, I tried everything that you mentioned in your reply post but couldn't eradicate ShopNav. When ever I open IE, the SpyBot-SD Resident detects something trying to change my registry to use the ShopNav site for searching. When searching my system for files/folders/registry entries for those listed on http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/ShopNav.html, none were found. Is there some other variant that has files/folders/registry entries with names different than those listed on the Doxdesk site? Has anyone seen this? I have the address bar enabled in my task bar. Normally when I want to search the internet I type a phrase into the address bar (either Windows taskbar address bar or MS IE address bar), it would search using MSN's search engine by default. I just noticed recently that it is using some "Shopnav" site as default search engine. How can I change this back to MSN's search engin or another? Thank you for any help anyone can provide, Conan Kelly
