You might try telling your BIOS setup to do a re-detection of your hard
disks. A BIOS *ought* not to be showing things that are not there.
If that does not do the trick, I'm afraid all you can do then is the
hard way - back up all data and reinstall Win98 clean. Boot the 98
startup floppy and use its FDISK to delete the existing partition
(non-DOS if you converted to NTFS, which BTW would make Uninstall not
available) and make a new DOS Primary one. Reboot to FORMAT C: and run
the 98 Setup from its CD
