windows box too small

I having a problem when installing programs in windows xp
pro. So far, two programs have had this problem. I have
at least 30 other programs that I have installed with no
problems.
when I click to install program, the windows box that the
info is in is not wide or long enough to answer the
questions to install. It cannot be made bigger by draging
the sides.
so I have to cancel install.
