Easily is a relative term. What is easy to me may not be easy to you,
depends on your level of computer experience. But, yes xp pro is easier and
more robust than xp home when it comes to allowing or denying access to
certain programs by limited users. It requires that you turn simple file
sharing off and then ues the security tab in the files properties to allow
or deny access. (this can be done in xp home by booting to safe made)

Pro will allow you to set it up the way you want.

You should ALWAYS be running a firewall, anti-virus program, and use spyware
cleaners weekly.
I use either Zone Alarm or a hardware firewall and the free AVG anti-virus.
Both work great.
