Go to a friend with Win98. Borrow his Win98 CDROM and make a copy of the Win98 Floppy Boot
Disk.

Install WinXP Upgrade from scratch and point the installation process at the Win98 CDROM.
When done return the CDROM to your friend.

As a side note, the school has no right to sell you the PC with the OS without the OS
distribution CDROM.
