Hello , I had the same problem with my USB labtec mouse ,
It worked since i bought it , Then one day i restarted
windows and it stopped working through the USB PORTS and
i got 4 USB ports , I'm thinking it's a windows problem ,
Because i put in the USB to PS2 Connector and it works
fine now , When it "did" stop working i went into the
properties for mouse and it said there was no mouse on my
system , Tried to figure out what was wrong but
couldn't , So i just tried my USB to PS2 connector and it
works great , If all else fails go out and buy a USB to
PS2 connector , There very cheap , Just a little
connector piece , If you do find out why the usb mice
stop working for no reason e-mail me at
kekelao@hotmail.com . Thank you and hopefully this helps
you out a bit.
