If you have Windows XP Home, start the computer in Safe Mode by tapping
the F8 key repeatedly as the computer is starting up. You'll get the
menu where you can choose Safe Mode - do this and log on as
Administrator. The default password is blank. Once logged on, go to the
User Accounts applet in Control Panel and change the password for your
regular user account to something you will remember.
