toolbar help

Hi yall, I'm stuck big time! In MS Explorer I high light
the pull down menu "view" and then "toolbar". Then I get
Standard Buttons, Address bar, etc...,, there is one of
these that I do not want in there. I went to a web site
and all of a sudden it was in my taskbar. Now when I
uncheck this item it goes away but not from the toolbar
list Standard Buttons, Address bar, etc...,, . How do I
erase this one item for ever? It is very annoying.(sp)
Everytime I open a new window in Explorer it pops open on
my taskbar list with file, edit, red X, house, address and
so on. Hope you get the picture. Plese Help!
