Re: What is: "Content index on c:\inetpub\catalog.wci could not be initialized. Error 3221225529." in Error Log?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Then re-working E.T. Me's response:

IIS may have not been uninstalled properly.

Or you may have used "system restore" to restore XP back to a time before
you uninstalled it. (i.e. registery references may be there, but the files
are not.)

either way, the best response would be to reinstall IIS. reboot your PC,
then uninstall it again.
