Ask the vendor to be specific about why there were problems, and
specifically why XP Pro is required. It very well could becuase the
nature of the application requires XP Pro's features .. (but I have a
hunch this not the case). Report back here what they say.
What is the application? Does the vendor have a web site describing it?
