Cannot access virus protection web pages

After downloading verizon DSL with MSN I tried to access
Mcafee.com and Symantic.com by typing it in the address
bar or using the provided link but, all I get is "we
can't find" I contacted my ISP & DELL (where I purchased
my computer) but , they were unable to help me with this
problem. Is there anyone out there who can help me? So
far these are the only two site that I cannot access.
