I had a friend build me a computer. I bought the
components and he put it together. My problem arose when
I wanted to have some help with a Windows problem. I was
told that since my product code ended in "OEM" I would
have to go to my vendor for help. I bought the XP retail
package from a seller on the internet; he is not a Dell or
a Gateway, etc. Does this mean that I can never access
tech support? If I can, please tell me how to get around
the part where it tells me that I have to go my vendor.
Thanks.
