Hi,

My XP Professional has developed a problem where I cannot
run Windows Explorer or My Computer sucessfully. I get
the "Windows has encountered and error and must close
error".

IE6 also gets this error after contacting a site and
building the home page but before giving me control of the
cursor.

Control Panel simply doesn't start.

WORD and other applications start OK and can open files
from their OPEN menu item.

This started when my kids were using the 'net. They said
the system was behaving strangely. Zone Alarm started
blocking access. I removed it and bought McAfee Internet
Security Suite. After installation I got the above
problem. McAfee isn't reporting any viruses but I can't
get to the latest data file because .. IE won't run
properly.

I can't deinstall McAfee because Control Panel won't run.

I've just spotted an article that suggests that our Kodak
Easy share software may be causing a problem but I can't
deinstall that either.

Any ideas on how I can get this thing working again?

Thanks!

Brad
