The only thing I can find anywhere regarding sunkfilt.sys is from
another user who encountered the exact same problem, also when
upgrading to XP Pro from XP Home.

1. Search the hard drive for files named sunkfilt.sys. When they are
found, right-click on the file name and select Properties. If the
version tab is displayed then the informatio there will tell you who
created the file and which application it belongs to.

2. Make note of the folder location of each copy of the file. That
too may be a clue as to the origins of the file.

3. Use Start - Run - REGEDIT and search the regsitry for references
to sunkfilt.sys. When they are found, expprt them to a backup file or
folder and then delete them.

Post any information about sunkfilt.sys back here.
