All my Windows XP machines (3 of them) have started getting the
following errors in the application event log at startup. I am running
a Windows 2000 server with roaming profiles and Active Directory. The
errors always come on pairs and always occur in the same order.

Additionally, whenever a user logs on I get:

User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Description:
The Group Policy client-side extension Software Installation failed to
execute. Please look for any errors reported earlier by that
extension.

Can anyone shed any light on the cause/cure for these errors ?
