Yes I had the same problem. I uninstalled the latest and
reinstalled the microsoft virtual machine and it works OK
now, You cant normally reinstall this but you can with a
program called "XP Lite" which lets you uninstall and re
install XP components that are usually hidden behind the
XP file protection system.
