: Not only is it not a "given," but it's just plain wrong.
:None of the antivirus companies developed defenses against Blaster,
Welchia,
: or Sasser until after many thousands of machines had been infected.

U cant defend what U dont know about.

: A system that is kept current and patched is less vulnerable to known
: exploits, but its still open to anything new that comes along.

This is what I meant by an updated and patched sytem being a given.

No, I dont approve of spam thats why I said to disable messenger, remeber U
said U liked it and not to disable read your last post.

: You're kidding, right? No one could possibly say that with a
: straight face.

If they do explain to me at what point a firewall knows to stop popups and
banners. They dont have a list of blaklisted servers. It wasnt until the
resent on slot of spam and concern with spyware that some of the more widely
used walls started including popup blockers like NIS, AlarmPro (whatever it
is) and so on.

I know this and only meantioned cuase of its reliavnce to spyware/popups

Yes as are U

This pc is not in a corpaorate enviro and holds no personal or important
data no worries here
