Hi Mark,

Sounds as though you have some startup program that needs acknowledgment
that is meant to run silently. By hitting the space bar acts the same as
hitting the ok button or similar that the program is needing.

Check your runkeys and Start/Run/Msconfig/Startup to see if anything listed
there would cause this type of behavior. You may also want to check your
RunOnce keys, perhaps something is stuck in a loop there.
