Greetings
with simple file sharing turned off when I go to my computer and right click
a drive >properties and
select share tab> do not share this drive, it tells me that the drive has
been shared for administrative purposes and will be re-shared if I reboot
etc. if I choose share this drive and then try and set permissions it once
again tells me that the drive is shared and permissions cannot be set.
So to not share the contents of the drive over a network do
you have to go into the security Tab and configure access rights at a
directory level? What is the easiest way not to share a drive over a home
network?
With thanks
Sam
