Hi, Mindy.

No, it shouldn't take that long. I'm not very expert at this phase of
WinXP, so I hope someone will jump in with suggestions.

Other users have reported finding that WinXP was trying to log onto their
network, but since I've never had a network, I don't know about that. Other
possibilities are that it is looking for some piece of hardware that you've
disconnected but haven't uninstalled.

But I'm only guessing. We have, at least, eliminated the
pre-Windows-loading possibilities.
