Microsoft, Inc. produces software as does Corel, Inc. They
are two of the hundreds of companies that write software.
Microsoft is the biggest. Corel makes and sells WordPerfect
and some companies install it because it costs less than MS
OFFICE.
You can buy Corel WP, MS Office or even download the free
OPEN OFFICE and all will open files in formats used by the
other programs if you have the converters and use the proper
technique. Basically, you open the program and use the
file/open menu to select and open the file. This will
trigger the conversion process.
