I believe it is certainly possible to have an NTFS partition and a FAT32
partition on the same drive. In fact, I know it's possible because I
accidentally had XP installed on an NTFS partition right along side a
Windows ME installation.

I would strongly advise against an XP installation on FAT32, though
converting a FAT32 installation to NTFS is usually pretty painless.

If you need true DOS for your old DOS games, like the kind that require you
to configure your sound card and video card, then you will probably need to
retain Windows 95 (perhaps Windows 98 also supports true DOS mode).
