Kaylene - Thanks for the advice. I believe you are correct about selecting the hard drive and continuing on. I'm probably hitting
the F8 key to early in the boot sequence.

Is there another key combination that brings up Safe mode? I seem to remember pressing F3 and holding down the control key worked
in Win 98 and I wondered if there were other key combinations that work in WinXP Home Edition. I searched through the Windows XP
help and could find no reference to Safe mode.
