| <SNIP> The problem occurs whether the file is on a network share or
| on a local stand alone computer. Also the problem occurs on our test
| computer which is Windows 98. <SNIP> all the Service Patches were
| current and that the Security Fixes were applied <SNIP> Access is
| the program which has the file open and it does not show up anywhere
| else. Any more thoughts?
Well (to me) it definitely sounds like an Access. Perhaps the Access
experts in the microsoft.public.access.externaldata newsgroup would
have some ideas. And you may want to add information such as the
exact error message, whether or not your have previously linked or
imported the xBase files in Access, and the version numbers of the
programs involved.
