download the free programs AD-AWARE or SPYSWEEPER, use
either or both of them and they should locate your
dialers, spyware, malware and adware that are causing
this issue.(its not xp) there is also a tool called
spybot search & destroy.
anyways a few things come with the OS that each program
will find. ALEXA (its part of IE6 somehow) and some
regkeys belonging to your mediaplayer. you can leave
those(they're not responsible.
BUT DELETE YOUR COOKIES,&,internet files, including
offline files, then clear internet history. before
running any of those programs.
this can be done from the menu bar in InternetExplorer
(IE6) so select "tools / internet option /general tab."
and do as mentioned.
