There are boards specific to the SP2 beta.

Nonetheless, the updates being install for SP2 are basically testing the
Windows Update function, hence it's possible it might have also wanted to
uninstall some previous updates (there have been a few such instances during
the beta, you might want to check the beta boards, the location is at the
SP2 download site).

That being the case, perhaps Norton isn't recognizing some of the SP2
functionality, it hasn't been updated for SP2.

This is speculation on my part, as I've been doing the updates and haven't
paid much attention nor checked the advanced option. You really should
check the SP2 boards for a better answer and not post beta questions here.
