I downloaded and installed the 48 bit LBA quick fix so
that I could use my 200 GB drive without scsi card. I was
operating from my backup hard drive and tried to update my
activated hard drive. It became so trashed and unreadable
that it now appears as an unformatted drive. This is not
a problem now since I have my backup, but it will be a
problem if I have to reinstall XP and reactivate. Is
there another option to recover the hard drive and
activation files?
