Thank you.
The network I have is at my house, built with thick walls. It started
off in 1996 with a thin ethernet 10 base T single bus. As in life it has
grown to two thin ethernet busses with 3com Office connect hubs (4 one
at each end of each bus, with two hubs joined by a long RJ45 cable).

I ma now joying with wireless and have bought a linksys access point,
plus belkin wireless card for my laptop. I am finding that where I put
the access point gives limited service over the house. OK so the house
is big, but not 100 meters long!

I am keen to be wireless in my conservatory built outside the main walls
of the house. When I put the access point in there I get no service
inside the house.

Obviously I will need to put in extra access points.

Is linksys OK as a manufacturer?
Can I mix 3com and linksys access points?

At work there is a wireless network. They use a box on the wall (small
and neat) which covers two buildings that has no little aerials stuck on
it.

Do you get manufacturers that make access points with greater power
output and greater sensitivity for incoming radiowaves from the wireless
cards? If so who?

Any help will be useful.
