Thanks for the very detailed post. It gave a good picture of your
situation. Unfortunately, from your description it sounds like your
hard drive has died. You can run a diagnostic utility on the drive that
you download from the hard drive mftr.'s website (obviously, from
another computer), but I think you're going to need to buy a new hard
drive, install Windows, reinstall programs from cd's, restore data from
backups.
