As Rob mentioned, IIS does provide an SMTP server and an FTP server, amongst
other things. You'll need to have your XP CD handy and use Control Panel -
Add/Remove Program - Add/Remove Windows Components to install Internet
Information Services. You many need to hit the Details button to go in and
explicitly selelct the SMTP service.

Make sure you take all necessary and appropriate steps to secure IIS web and
smtp services.
