Put a floppy in the drive and open "My Computer". Now, right click on
the floppy and hit format. On format, hit "create a DOS startup disk".
That does a full format and creates a WinME DOS boot floppy.
You need to run your DOS flasher in DOS mode, not just in a DOS box.
It needs to write directly to the flash memory and DOS box programs
are protected from doing this because it might interfere with other
programs.
In Win 95, 98 or ME, you can boot to a DOS prompt or restart into DOS
mode and the flasher should work.
But Win NT/2000/XP has no underlying DOS, only DOS windows.
