converting MS works

i have some text docs saved to a disk from a computer
when i had ms works. i now have wordperfect 10 and cannot
seem to pull up these files. does anyone know how to
convert these files to open in wordperfect? or maybe how
i can get ms works on my new computer? it is a really
important file and i would appreciate any help!
