XP does not support DVD burning and the CD burning that it does is
very basic. So you would be wise to purchase software such as Nero
or EasyCD. Note, however, that before you purchase a no name OEM DVD
burner, that you go to the Nero web site and check their hardware
compatibility list first. Most no name burners are NOT supported by
Nero. EasyCD Creator from Roxio does a bit better but the same advice
goes here also.

If your intended burner is not supported, I would not purchase it.
You'll wind up with nothing but headaches and possibly a useless
burner.
