Help and Support not working and Remote Asssitance

I have just installed Win Xp but i find that the Help And
Support Section is not working. If i click on it nothing
happens but if i click on help in control panel i get the
message come up saying "hcp://services/subsite?
node=unmapped/control_panel&topic=ms-Its%3a%
25help_location%25%5chs.chm%3a%3a/hs_control_panel.htm

The parameter is incorrect"

Remote assistance doesn't seem to be working either. I
have checked the settings for it and they seem to be ok.
You don't need to be on a network for this to work do
you? Probably a stupid question.
