You're right about that, as the OP purchased a copy of software, and there
is still such a thing as "fair use." And until MS proves under the due
process of law that their "shrink-wrap license" can rewrite my right to
"fair use" in the privacy of my own home, MS can go blow me!

You do not purchase a "shrink-wrap license," like MS's FUD-ULA. A TV comes
with a post-purchase "shrink-wrap license," aren't you purchasing the TV
when you pay for it at the cash register? It's as plain as that.
