First ask yourself why you want to update the BIOS. If it is just
because there is a new BIOS version available, then stop and forget
it.

If you don't need to upgrade your BIOS to gain some valuable new
functionality you must have to operate, then don't play the russian
roulette you are about to play.

Questions like this indicate you don't know much about what you are
doing. Screw up a BIOS update and you have the following:

1. An expensive repair at a computer shop as they replace the BIOS.
2. An expensive computer doorstop if you can't afford #1 above.
