"open with" not working

When I right click on an icon (ie. .txt) I see the "Open
With" option with a small arrow next to it (like a nested
folder). When I click on it shows another "Open With"
command in the nested area. This command doesn't work.

Does anybody has an idea of how I can fix this?

Another problem I have, the .reg files do not show
the "Merge" option in the right-click, even though it
works if I double-click on it.

If you reply some solutions, COULD YOU PLEASE SEND ME
ALSO A PERSONAL EMAIL! Tnxs!

Best regards,
iachris@freemail.it
