Start--Settings--Network Connections--New Connections Wizard
Next
Setup an Advanced Connection--Next
Accept Incoming Connections--Next
Select no devices and hit next
Allow virtual private connections--Next
Select the account/s to use or add one--Next
Double click "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Specify an ip address range to give out to the vpn caller try 192.168.2.1
192.168.2.2--OK--Next
Finish

Now setup a connection on the other machine to access the VPN
Start--Settings--Network Connections--New Connections Wizard
Next
Connect to the network at my workplace--Next
Virtual Private Network connection--Next
Give it a name--Next
Do Not dial the initial connection--Next
Enter address of the computer you want to connect to--Next
Your use only--Next
Finish

Now try to connect
Enter the username and password.

If it doesn't work, you may not have the right address, a firewall might be
blocking, NAT.....
