It should noted that after you have installed XP Pro and
start up the computer, the first thing that comes up
(usually) is the Administrator. You can then set a
password and other properties for this role. After this
is done, you can set new users, including a user
with "Computer Admin" priviledges, which you will use for
the normal day-to-day admin functions. So what will come
up on your welcome screen will be a user with Computer
Admin role, and other users with limited roles - each one
can be password protected. If you are the sole user, you
can set yourself up twice - one as a Computer Admin, and
another as a user with a limited role. Use your Admin
role only to do set-ups, installs, etc., and use the
normal user role for doing your normal activities. This
way you don't leave your PC "wide open" to the dangers of
the outside world. It's a jungle out there.
--- An American student in Russia was asked; "What is
more important - Freedom or Peace?" To this the student
replied; "Peace is most important, but there can never be
any peace until I am FREE." ----
