You can disable this. It is intended for people to pass messages on a
network, but some have found a way to exploit this feature. Hense the awful
messages. Go to Control Panel>Administative Tools>Services. Browse down the
list to find Messenger. (This is nothing to do with Windows Messnger) Double
click to get a properties window. Stop the service and select Manual from
the drop down list and click OK. You'll never see them again.
