Absolutely correct. But you do it using the $99 upgrade CD as opposed to
buying the $300 retail version and no pirating or copyrights etc.. are
violated. Actually the reason I even bring it up is simply because I use
this technique whenever I need to do a clean install, which thankfully is
rare with XP. Rather than installing Corel Office Suite and then MS Office I
just point at the CD already in the drive (The Office Upgrade CD) and I'm
done. Saves time and since I legally own these things it's not a problem.
What I wouldn't do though is try to install it hacker style. Obviously the
full version is actually on the upgrade CD but I am openly against, as
people who've read some of my other recent posts would see, pirating
software or hacking software in any way that bypasses legally licensing it.
Piracy is the reason software is so expensive and the reason for neding to
waste time typing in product keys, activating via internet etc.. etc..
If you can't BUY it don't USE it.
