So, does the implementation of the Sil3112 chip actually incorporate
RAID? You never mentioned your motherboard's brand and model. I
recently got an Abit NF7-S v2 which does have RAID with the Sil3112
controller, but from what I read it appears this controller can also be
without RAID and so you have to ensure you install the IDE-only driver
(i.e., *not* the RAID version).
