My ultimate goal is to backup my C drive to DVD. I am
having problems reading & writing to DVD. As I try to
figure out how to use the utilities that might do a
backup, I would like to view a list of files on DVD as
verification of whether a write action succeeded. I am
using utilites published by Norton, Roxio, & Sateira. I
am having trouble making any of them work. But my
question is about Windows Explorer. Most of the time
when I ask Explorer to read a DVD disk, Explorer tries
for about 60 seconds & then stops responding. A few times
it has displayed a list of files on a DVD disk as I would
expect. Am I asking Explorer to do something it was not
meant to do? If backing up to DVD is not a practical
thing to do, what is the best alternative?
