For two days now, my browser has not worked properly.
When I load it, it goes to my homepage and loads rapidly
and then freezes for twenty seconds. And every new page I
try - the same thing.
I called my cable company - they looked at my modem and
said I have great connection and nothing is wrong there
and to try microsoft and download my browser again.
So I tried that and it began to install - then said
something was wrong and to clear out cache. So I cleaned
out temp files and history again and tried to install
again and it let me. I restarted the computer and its
still freezing. So I tried to reinstall the the browser
again from the download at microsoft that I saved on the
pc today and it said this time that it couldn't because
the version I have on the pc is higher... this made no
sense. So I don't even know if I actually installed the
browser or not over my old one.
Here is my computer info:
Gateway
pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.00GHz
2.00 GH
256 MB RAM
Window XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service pack 1

I use Comcast cable. I have spyware that has removed all
my popups. I have disabled Kazaa from it. I do windows
installs as they come up. I am not having problems
anywhere else- not on messengers or on game sites - no
lags or anything that would indicate a problem with my
connection. The browser load fast - but then freezes.
Nothing out of the ordinary has been done in the past two
days to cause my browser to freeze up. Any suggestions of
what I should try?
