Change Default Spell Checker from English US

Can anyone please tell me how to change the XP Office Spell Checker
Dictionary Language from English US to English Australia?
I can change it throught the drop-down list OK, but it defaults back to
English US after re-opening Word, or re-boot.
I need it to stay put as English Australia.
