Hi Lanwench,
                       Yes, I was aware I put my email address in my account
settings in OE, that's why it is now different. I haven't had any more
emails
since as that email address no longer exists.
In my first post, Windows Updates not installing! , if you take a closer
look,
the reply was someone else explaining that he/she has the same problem.
I then replied to that. That's all it is.
My 'Nice try' post was only aimed at the culprit, not all the good guys and
girls who spend their time and expertise assisting everyione with their
WinXP
and accoc. problems. They have my respect.
That's why I reposted my prob and received a prompt reply from Rick in which
I thanked him for.
I will also try the windows update ng per your suggestion.
