Service pack 1 and about 10 updates loaded applied perfectly but now the remaining 12 will not

Service pack 1 and about 10 hotfixes loaded applied perfectly but now the remaining 12 will not. The installation history on the update web page says they were successfully installed but none are listed on the add/remove program list. Finally, when I go to the web page again --after re-booting-- the scan reveals the same 12 are needed. Help!!
