Hi, Peter. This means that some program's reminder (probably to register
with them so you can get more spam!) is starting with Windows. Go to
Start>Run and type "msconfig" without the quotes. Look on the Startup
tab for the reminder.exe and uncheck it. While you're there, uncheck
any other unnecessary programs. Click Apply and OK. To look up things
you find under Startup, here is a useful site:
http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup_index.htm
And of course, you will be running a current (post-2002 version using
updated definitions) antivirus program, right? ;-)
