You may have too many temp files which can hang up the
explorer, so go into Tools, Internet options and clear
the cookies and temporary files, you may also want to
change the History settings to 3 days and don't forget to
click Apply when making this change.
Also when did you defrag last go to start programs
accessories system tools defrag and let it run, initially
this might take a long while but you can do things while
it runs in the beckground.
