XP activation

I had my friend who works on computers replaced the
motherboard and the video card on my computer. When it
came time to activate Windows XP, he tried my Windows XP
key but it wouldn't recognize it so he decided on his own
to use his corporate key to activate my copy of Windows
XP. My question to you guys, is there a way to rectify
this, can I get a phone number where I can get this
change so the next time I have to reload Windows XP I can
use my own key.
